Finchley and Golders Green MP Mike Freer exposed as a complete hypocrite !

Today the Barnet Eye exposes Finchley and Golders Green MP for being a complete hypocrite.

Our attention was drawn to this interview regarding tuition fees in the New Camden Journal.

Let's examine a few choice quotes from the honourable gentleman.
"is it right that your average basic rate taxpayer is subsidising a chunk of society to go on to higher paid jobs?"
Mr Freer went to a university in Scotland on a government grant. The gross hypocracy continues. Here is another quote from the article
"He said there should be no cap on the amount students could be charged and some “weak” universities ought to be closed."
When talking about weak universities, Mr Freer neglects to mention the circumstances surrounding his own "MBA". Mr Freer continues :-
I feel passionately that we have to break the myth that fees stop social mobility.
This is the same Mr Freer who got a grant from the taxpayer, got an "honoury" MBA sponsored by a commercial company as part of a program for Council makers and shakers.

What other conclusion can be drawn regarding Mr Freer and his do as I say not as I do statements, than he is a complete hypocrite. Would Mr Freer have become a council leader or an MP without a degree which we paid for? Would he have an "honoury MBA" if he'd had to pay for it and work for it for longer than a week on a taxpayer subsidised jolly? Mr Freer has enjoyed great social mobility at our expense. It's a shame he seeks to deny others that opportunity. If you really want to know what sort of man Mr Mike Freer is, perhaps this quote above all others tells you.

Mr Freer revealed to the meeting how he “fell in love” with Margaret Thatcher in the late 1970s and had a pin-up photograph of former Prime Minister on his bedroom wall. “For me it was Thatcher, when for others it was Abba,” he said.
For once, there is nothing I can add, other than to say for myself and most of my mates, actually it was Debbie Harry or Suzi Quattro rather than ABBA.

  1. "Would Mr Freer have become a council leader or an MP without a degree which we paid for?" If I am correct, Mr Freer never actually graduated from Stirling University although he did attend at the taxpayers expense.

  2. John,

Thanks for the info. I should have known that he was too thick to graduate.

What a waste of public money. Is there any way we can ask for it back?
