Proof Brian Coleman agreed to appear at Friern Barnet with Helen Michael tonight ** Updated Sat 11.55

Just in case you were tempted to believe Brian Colemans statements that he never agreed to appear at the Question time at Friern Barnet this evening, here is the exchange of emails that prooves yet again Mr Coleman is duplicitous liar.

Read hear how Brian Coleman told the Barnet Times how he'd rather gouge his own eyes out than hold a debate with Helen Michael - http://www.times-series.co.uk/news/11005604.Coleman_angrily_denies_debate_appearance/ - sadly for Brian, he'd actually emailed the organiser Keith Martin and the woman he assualted, Helen Michael to confirm he'd appear if she dropped a lawsuit for defamation. Sadly, yet again Mr Coleman has been exposed.

I am free on either and I assume this means her threat of legal action is now withdrawn ?

Kind regards

Dear Brian
Thank you for your message. I have spoken to Helen, and should like you both to be on the ANY QUESTIONS?  panel at Friern Barnet Community Library at 7.30pm on either
Friday 21 March 2014 or
Friday 11 April 2014.
The Chair will be Barbara Jacobson.
There are no restrictions on questions from the public, and the only constraint on panellists and the floor is to refrain from making libellous statements.
Brian
Please would you let me know as soon as you can which of the two dates is your preference. Helen and Barbara can make either.
Best wishes
Keith

Dear Brian
I realize that you asked to be removed from my e-mail list, but I hope you will excuse my writing nonetheless.
As you will see from the attached flyer, Friern Barnet Community Library is running a monthly fundraising ANY QUESTIONS? on the third Friday of the month (except April) during 2014.
I had hoped to include on a panel Helen Michael and yourself, and Helen has asked me to invite you once more, with the message that she is prepared to consider dropping proceedings against you if you will join a panel at the library with her.
Do please let me know if you are willing to do so and, if so, which third Friday (the April one is April 11 to avoid Good Friday) suits you best, between March and December. If you can give two alternatives, so much the better.
Happy New Year!
Keith
Just to emphasise how trustworthy Mr Coleman is, you may find his tweets about these emails this morning rather interesting. You've read the emails, draw your won conclusions. The phrase hoisted by his own petard seems to come to mind

  1. Why the surprise, in reality Coleman is a product of the Barnet Tory lie machine, I thought you had to be a duplicitous liar to be a member of the Cornelius clan or have I got that wrong.

  2. Don't get me wrong I can't stand the guy but where does it exactly say he is going to attend? Think this is a bit mis leading unless you have other emails you haven't posted etc.

    1. How can it possibly be misleading? His email says "I am free on either". How can this be read as supporting his assertion that hed rather gouge his eyes out than appear with Ms Michael? I published the entire text of his email so no one could accuse me of selective editing. You mayy conclude that it supports his assertion that he would not share a platform with Ms Michael but as far as I'm concerned it proves the opposite. Unlike some blogs like Mr Colemans I allow comments that disagree withmy opinion to be published

  3. As I said I really don't like him (I'm a Barnet FC fan) but BC saying he is free on either day isn't the same as him agreeing to come is it?!Hence why I think it's slightly miss leading and not something I expect from your blog.

  4. Did he say i'd rather gouge my eyes out in the email. Nope he said he was coming.. Like all Colemans mates you are anon

  5. Now your trying to deflect the point, title of your post says "proof BC agreed to attend... But all he said is that he is available and didn't in fact agree to attend. The post is misleading Rog.

  6. Yeah right Mr Anon. Peoole can read the emails and decide for themselves. Endof. If I am inundated with comments supporting you fine. As it is over 1000 have read it and you are a lone voice

  7. Anonymous is not a lone voice. Coleman makes it clear that he is available but that is not the same as accepting an invitation. He raises a question as to whether the threat of legal action has been withdrawn. The implication is quite clear that if it has not, he will not be attending.

Unless there is a further, as yet unpublished, exchange of e-mails in which Coleman states unequivocally that he will attend the meeting, then you cannot claim that he has agreed to do so.

I know it is hard for you lefties to let facts get in the way of a good anti-Coleman rant, but the evidence presented above simply does not prove your allegation of lying.

  8. It's a sad day when us local residents now can't trust the words of the bloggers.

  9. David,

If you want to subscribe to the theory that these emails support Brian Colemans statements to the press that he'd never agree to share a platform with Helen Michael and that I've totally misrepresented the email exchange between him and Keith Martin that is your perogative. I however think that the exchange fully demonstrates that he agreed to appear at a debate and then lied about this to the press. The contention that he didn't specifically state which date he would appear on in no way invalidates the fact that he had stated he would be available to appear.
