Tell the Leader of the Council what you think of him!

The Leader of Barnet Council has invited local residents to tell him what they think of him.

Residents will have the opportunity to tell the Leader of Barnet Council, Cllr Richard Cornelius, and other chairmen of major committees their views on council priorities.The ‘Conversation’ event will take place at Hendon Town Hall, 7 pm to 9pm on Wednesday 4th February.  

Councillor Richard Cornelius, Leader of the Council, said: “We are currently carrying out a detailed online consultation into the priorities and budget of the council for the rest of this decade.  I appreciate that some residents feel happier giving their views in person, so we have set up an open conversation event.

"I will be there, as will the chairmen of the other major committees, so residents can give their views and have a conversation with one or all of us.“Everyone has to accept that there will be less money to spend, but we want to make sure that the council’s priorities match those of residents."

The event will be limited to 60 people to ensure that participants are able to speak to a range of chairmen. The council wants to ensure that all who attend are able to participate in the event, so people will be encouraged to circulate the room fairly rapidly after having expressed their views.  Further events will be organised depending on demand. Residents who would like to take part can register their interest by emailing 2020priorities@barnet.gov.uk.
