The Tweets of the week in the London Borough of Barnet - 04/09/2016

Yet again it the time of week where we see our neihbourhood through the eyes of our local Twits.

1. Terry the Teacher has an interesting take on an obsolete cigaarette dispenser in Burnt Oak
2. It appears that Keith Vaz has been being a naughty boy in Edgware. And they said that the age of tabloid stings died with the News of The World
3. Justice served in Hendon after 31 years!

4. The changing face of Colindale!

5. Did you know that there is a Finchley Symphony Orchestra? You do now

6. Barnet has it's very own beer

7. Can anyone help the local police with this enquiry?

8. And we are really proud of these guys as well!

9. I rather like this one

10. Need some music grade books? You can pick them up in Mill Hill

  1. I tried to save the Burnt Oak cigarette machine- a late surviving example of what was once a common feature of our streets- but, even after some effort, could never identify its owner. It's probably just as well: at least the machine remains in situ in its locality. Had I taken it for Church Farm, it would just been cast to the four winds in 2013, with the rest of the Museum's Local Collection, by the philistine Tory scum who run Barnet Council.
