So in the first week of lockdown easing, what have you been up to. The sun has been shining, even if it has been a tad chilly. Here is our selection of what's been going on through the eyes of the rather marvellous Barnet Twitter community. Concentrating on the opening up in this weeks selection.
1. Let's start with some rather marvellous local news. Our local team, Hadley FC had another win in their record breaking run in the FA Vase. Like many of the fans, I had the pleasure of watching it on the live stream.
This is my favourite ๐ pic.twitter.com/iWqIA43Qbp

2. The Mill Hill Mixed Ability Rugbyt team are my favourite Rugby team in the whole world and it is great to see them back
See you all tonight team! Mixed ability rugby tonight 18:30-19:30 @barnetcouncil @barnetmencap #ProjectRugby #disAbility #YesWeCan @ABetterMillHill pic.twitter.com/ePMrumVMBV

3. This is a campaign we are squarely behind. Please support this
Very supportive of this 15-point Vision for the Welsh Harp produced by @ben_watt and other campaigners.

In order to resolve the environmental disaster at the Brent Reservoir all stakeholders must come together and commit the required resource immediately.https://t.co/5HtjZL9AYs
4. As ever our friend Samuel Levy was out with his camera. I couldn't decide which of these two great tweets was better, so here's both of them. I don't want to sound biased, but I think Samuel is my favourite local tweeter. His work is always amazing. I love the Totteridge Valley and his tweets have been a tonic as I've recovered from my knee injury and been unable to get over there
Honestly not sure If I have ever seen one of these before. But upon hearing some rustling in the vegetation in Totteridge this morning, a cracking little Bank Vole appeared. I watched it for around 5 minutes as it ran around the log piles that lined the footpath. pic.twitter.com/NL2SJa0Q8w

A late afternoon visit to the Totteridge Valley was really quite rewarding with the first House Martin of the year. I was pleased to see that the Mistle Thrush nest I had been following, had now fledged with 3 rattling youngsters about. #londonbirds pic.twitter.com/80p0EdQMbt

6. Pride in your local community. I can honestly say that Crickloewood has been leading the way for years
A good, socially distanced turn out this morning. Cricklewood signs under the bridge shining once again!
— NW2 Res Association (@NW2_RA) April 17, 2021
Thank you Cricklewood for all your support, and to everyone who pitched in!@CrickleBen @MarieHa72890130 @anne_clarke @Shelley4London pic.twitter.com/eY4bwEIOyq
7. We had to include a post of a busy Mill Hill street cafe scene in the sun. We've all been waiting for this. Nice pic from @insideMillHill

8. This looks rather good.
Looks glorious, but that’s about 20 degrees below what it needs to be before you’ll get me in there! https://t.co/gW64nTWAbs

9. This wins the award for the funniest tweet of the week. With the opening up, I wasn't going to include a historical tweet, but how could I not include this one!
Here's a picture of British inventor W.T. Warren testing his Protective Flight Helmet. Taken in Hendon in 1912. The question I have is this: is that Jacob Rees-Mogg in the middle of the onlookers? pic.twitter.com/qntyCOhME3

10. What are you waiting for?
Another lovely sunny start to the day today. ☀️

A reminder the gardens are now open from 9am so you can come and enjoy a quiet early stroll before it gets busier. #finchley pic.twitter.com/5wkOyUADA4
That's all folks!
