I've had a bit of a strange week. Got back from France on Monday, four days later than I intended, as my daughter had to isolate due to French Law. Went to see one of my reggae heroes, King Yellowman at the Jazz Cafe on Tuesday. The less said the better. He had throat cancer and let's just say his voice has suffered. It was profoundly upsetting. One Friday, I had a great evening at The Bohemia in Finchley with my band the False Dots and my great mates The Silencerz. Yesterday was spent recovering. A wonderful evening. Here is a snippet, the Burnt Oak Boogie
How was your week? This is what the esteemed Tweeters of Barnet have been up to.
1. And whilst on the subject of Burnt Oak, did you know it was once independent of Edgware?

Notice Edgware separate from Burnt Oak but united with Stanmore in "Hendon Rural District" pic.twitter.com/mbMApyTpqb
2. This looks interesting
Elstree and Borehamwood Museums current exhibition is ‘The line that never was.’ This was the Northern Heights train service, that was to stretch from Edgware through Brockley Hill, Elstree and on to Bushey Heath. Including a model showing what the line might have looked like. pic.twitter.com/l2b1AyZMmI

Spreading the @CWGC message at a Mill Hill Cemetery Tour. Wonderful guests with great questions. The Netherlands Field of Remembrance looked stunning, despite the drought. All welcome at future tours in Sept - Nov. https://t.co/dfj5vFknLZ pic.twitter.com/uYgTYdYk8k

⛔️ GAME OFF!

The situation with the burst water main in Brickfield Lane is showing no signs of improvement so tonight’s game against @HarlowTownFC has unfortunately been postponed pic.twitter.com/qUMwaNH1FL
8. Donald is always worth a follow!
Wow, so excited to see this hummingbird hawk moth in London today! Only the second one I've seen!

They are so spectacular to watch as they flit & hover among the flowers. I saw my first one in deepest Hampshire twenty-one years ago! @WildLondon @LondonNPC @savebutterflies pic.twitter.com/ga2LRsQ6dN
9. When I heard about the Brent Cross Berach, didn't realise it was this good!
