Adebayor Vs Brian Coleman : Barnet could learn something from the FA

Now as a Manchester City FC fan this pains me but there are some extraordinary parallels between the Adebayor. There is also a few stark differences.

The similarities.

They both play for the Blue Team.

They both feel that they've suffered unjustified abuse

They both get paid far more money than they are really worth

They both claim they snapped under undue provocation

They both ended up before a committee for their misbehaviour
The Differences

Adebayor is a marvellous footballer

Adebayor said sorry for his reaction to the abuse

Adebayor's mother was abused, Coleman's wasn't (however much he may claim otherwise)

Adeybayor is a young man high on adrenalin from scoring a goal

ADEBAYOR will get punished severely for his moment of madness to send a message to other players

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've got no beef with the FA for throwing the book at Adebayor, even though he plays for the team I support. His actions are a terrible example. I do however think he's a young man with far less experience of life than Brian Coleman. Brian Coleman has received no sanction, which sends totally the wrong message out. Do you think Adebayor will be out on the town celebrating when he gets his sentence for a far more understandable and excusable reaction?

  1. I was amused somewhat by the comments of the "friends" of Coleman in that article. What action are they planning? Will they kidnap you and subject you to a few days Brian, I mean Brain washing? Nice photo of Coleman mid flow mind.

Incidentally who is the London Daily News anyway?

  2. That website is a blog run by some chap that seems to be big buddies with Cllr Andreas Tambourides. Tambourides regularly circulates stories from that blog to fellow Conservatives and others.

There has been much furrowing of brows as, even though Thirtygrandbourides is a Member of the Standards Committee in Barnet, he promoted that article to his wide email list. I am told, but am yet able to confirm as I was not there (!), that Cllr Andreas Tambourides was invited and was present at the Haven for Brian Coleman's conviction celebration bash.

I find it hard to believe that any Member of the Standards Committee would be so daft to be quaffing champagne to celebrate a breach of the code. I am sure that I will be corrected that what I have heard is untrue and if so I will immediately withdraw and apologise. But then again Cllr Tambourides did spend the hearing sat right behind Brian Coleman, sandwiched between Cllr Coleman's mum and Lynne Hillan in an otherwise empty room.
