Here’s a picture of me proudly wearing my Rock Against Racism badge. I’ve worn not at every gig I played with The False Dots since I was given it by a friend at Orange Hill School in 1978. When I was given it, there were two things I couldn’t imagine. One was that I’d still be wearing it in 2024 playing gigs with The Dots. The other is that it would be so relevant still. The awful truth is that we need a new generation of musicians to take over the batten and rejuvenate RAR. I will wear this rusty old badge til the band is no more, but we need young musicians to be loud and proud. That’s all.
Here’s some music from The False Dots
