Guest Blog - The numerous achievements of Hendon MP Matthew Offord - By AWorrall

Roger T, well done for helping Offord’s campaign by suggesting advertising a list of his achievements - perhaps he should recruit you as his chief campaign officer. Here are some nuggets, in 4 years Offord has:

1. His dog won a competition.
2. He helped my Roger T's get a passport following a govt dept **** up
3. He wrote a courteous reply to me
4. Changed the government from a debt ridden Labour Party
5. Got rid of 2 expenses cheats - Miller and Dismore
6. Lives in Hendon and not Notting Hill
7. Has not claimed £65k in expenses
8. Is able to do the job without having to get a second home in London
9. Travels to work by public transport and does not claim for it
10. Does not claim for food
11. Has the support of all Labout MP’s to keep his pre-deceasor out of parliament
12. Is not a pensioner after two jobs funded by the taxpayer
13. Is the only MP to get the Prime Minister to Israel
14. Security for Jewish schools
15. Etz Chaim school
16. Avanti school
17. Chairman of various all parliamentary groups, on environmental select committee

Strictly speaking this wasn't a guest blog, it was a comment left on the Hendon Times website, but I promised Aworrall that I'd put it up as a guest blog as I am sure lots of people in Hendon would be fascinated to know what the supporters perceive as his greatest achievements. Aworrall is clearly a ardent Offord supporter and these seventeen points are what he came up with (actually I came up with the first but Aworrall seemed to agree - see full set of comments here http://www.times-series.co.uk/news/11375195.Mayor_of_London_tells_GLA_member_Andrew_Dismore_to__stop_attacking_councillors__reputations_/?ref=mc ) . As with all guest blogs I don't add any editorial comment, so I'll afford Aworrall the same courtesy. I'll leave you to decide whether these are the type of things which will inspire you to give Mr Offord  a second term. I await the phonecall from him to become his campaign manager.
