Christmas is coming and the blog's thoughts turn to festive matters. It has been a tough old year, but lets put that to one side for the festive period and let our hair down.
It is a long tradition of the False Dots that going back to 1980, we always love to do an Xmas Gig in December! For the last two years, we have had a right old knees up at The Dublin Castle, so we decided to keep the tradition going! As it's a great chance to catch up with all our mates, we asked Tony the promoter to give us an amazing support slot so we could have a proper chat after the show. He didn't disappoint! We are on at 8pm and there are two amazing bands with us.
It will be a great chance to meet up, have a chat, have a drink and have a dance
RDF – Radical Dance Faction that is, of course, and this faction does what it says on the tin, providing radical routes to dance euphoria via the modes of punk, dub and psychedelicized trancey artpop. Wonderfully at ease on stage, with a louche, chilled out but commanding delivery, RDF are heroes of many a festival triumph. Huge on the circuit in the ’90s, since reforming earlier this century the band has gone from strength to strength, and have performed at Glastonbury, Boomtown, Rebellion, Willow Man and Green Gathering festivals, all to great acclaim.
If you are not sure whether you'll like watching us. we've arranged a special, one off performance that will be streamed live to your front room this Friday! We should be onstage at around 8.30pm-8.40pm at Fabwick in Hackney. You can also come along and watch us live at this amazing venue.
Please try and make it!
