Do you find the title of this blog entry rather chilling? I did when I saw it. It was the title of a blog entry written by Simon Darby, the Deputy Leader of the BNP. Knowing that, do you find it more chilling? What message is the Deputy leader of the BNP trying to send out to his loyal supporters? 

Are you afraid of the BNP. There is a term for this fear - Coulrophobia - and there is a simple cure. Make sure that on May 6th, when we all vote in the election, you go out and put a large cross on your ballot paper. That will help them to go away.

Mr Darby is the person on the left of the picture. The person on the right, with the sword strategically placed so it would castrate him if he mounted his trusty steed, is GLA member for London, Richard Barnbrook.
You will notice that the latest press release from Mr Barnbrook (who gets an allowance of over £50,000 per annum for being a GLA member) is 15th October 2008.

You would think that as the GLA's sole BNP member he might actually try and do something. It seems that the only message that the BNP like to get across is one of intimidation on dodgy blogs.

A chilling threat from the BNP

One of my favourite hobbies at the moment is being rather horrible to the Tory PPC for Harrow, Dr Rachel Joyce. Rachel writes a blog and being quite an honest and worthy type, she often says things which a compulsive wind up merchant of the left such as myself rather enjoys having a genial poke at. Now I've never met Rachel, although I suspect that if I did I'd probably quite like her as a person, even if I disagree with her politics. I suspect that when she reads my comments, she doesn't think "Oh marvellous, Rog T is winding me up again". What's all this got to do with the BNP you may ask? Well both myself and Rachel are in the political arena, in our own way. She's contesting a marginal seat and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that people may conclude from what I've said that she could lose a few votes. This could be the difference between her being a politician for the next few years or carrying on her old career. How does she deal with it? She responds to my comments in a polite manner. Do I lie awake at night worrying that the Tory party will come round and duff me up? Of course not. The Tory party, for all it's faults are a genuine democratic party. They win arguements by logic and reason.

Which brings us nicely to the BNP. I was looking at the blog run by the deputy Leader Simon Darby. Every so often Mr Darby's friendly mask slips and we get an insight into what the BNP are really like. Mr Darby posted this comment there yesterday about his opponents

Well if these people do want to step into the political arena they shouldn't complain too much if just occasionally they get a taste of their own medicine. They will learn, as others have in the past, that the BNP bites back.

I've been rather horrible over the years to such people as Andrew Dismore, Matthew Offord, Mike Freer, Brian Coleman and Peter Mandleson. The biggest threat any of them have ever issued is Brian Coleman at his Mayoral inauguration. He said he was going to "Take on the bloggers". Did I quake in my boots?

During the Mayoral elections last year, I made some disparaging comments on the Times website about the BNP. The Times was immediately innundated with comments about me and my business, giving the address and telephone number of my company. Although I wasn't personally worried about this little bit of "biting back", I was concerned that my staff may be threatened. In the event, quite the oposite happened. Two people bought guitars as a result and about 10 people I didn't know rang me up to warn me about what was going on. As a result of my conversations with the Times newspaper, they then gave me a blog.

There are two schools of thought about the BNP. Some people think we should ignore them and hope they go away. Some people think we should lift up the stone and shine a light on them, so people know what they are like and how they operate. I believe the latter. That's why I posted the Link to Mr Darby's rantings.

The BNP admit how unpopular they are !!!!

Today in his blog, Simon Darby, deputy head Honcho at the BNP admitted that his party are unattractive and unpopular. Simon is moaning about the fact that the Police are using a surveillance drone to monitor their annual festival "The RWB". In his blog he says

Fancy our relatively tiny festival also requiring such unique surveillance when these measures are not even employed in the annual crime-fest also known as the Notting Hill Carnival.

I do wonder if Simon has ever actually been to the Notting Hill Festival? If he had, he'd know that the percentage of people arrested to the percentage of people attending is actually rather low. The majority of trouble doesn't occur as part of the festival, but after the festivities for the day have finished and when the gangs come out to play, usually around pub chucking out time.

Lets just take his statement at face value, for one second. If his RWB fest is so unpopular compared to the Notting Hill Festival, which Simon feels isn't a nice environment, doesn't it occurr to Simon that maybe it's because most people don't like his party or it's policies.

Maybe it should occur to Simon that the police tend to go to these sort of lengths only when there is a gathering of known criminals or troublemakers. If anyone from the BNP is reading this, I have a genuine question for you guys. What percentage of your membership has a criminal record and how does this compare with the other parties? Maybe this explains why the police feel the need to go to these extreme measures.

I suspect that if the BNP's membership behaved themselves a bit better the need for this "War of The Worlds" technology might go away.

How thick are the BNP ?

A very good question. I think I can provide the answer. Simon Darby, BNP deputy Leader posted this post on his blog. I was rather disturbed until I read all his mates comments.


As of 00:45 he got the 6 replies - I've attached 5 of them for your amusement. As you can see, as with most things, the BNP haven't got a clue. As for the rest of us, this is why you should get out & vote at the Euro Elections. Do you really want these dunces running the show?
