The Hendon Times has reported the fact that Barnet Council has snubbed the people of Barnet who use local libraries and banned them from allowing the Save Barnet Libraries campaign petition to be signed in Libraries.

If Councillor Robert Rams really believes in public consultation, why ban the petition. As the Times reports we have nearly 5,000 signatures on the petition. Sadly none of these have been signed in a library.
Shame on Rams for his cowardice

So Cllr Rams is now banning the public's democratic rights. His actions are those of a Banana Fascist Republic dictator.
He has lost the argument about library closures so now he wants to deprive the public of their voice.
Compare this to the CAMERON/CLEGG policy of trying to allow petitions to actually get a debate in Parliament if they reach 100K signatures.
The term "Loonie Right" is surely going to be applied to a council that discourages the public getting involved in decision making.
Another own goal by Cllr Rams.

Cllr Rams is Cllr Coleman's protoge. What else do you expect of him?
