Happy New year from the Barnet Eye

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our readers a Happy New Year.

As we ponder the forthcoming year, there are a few questions we wish to ask.

1. The Chancellor tells us the economy is getting better. What is the point having a better, stronger economy if the weakest and most vulnerable people in the country are getting worse off?

2. There is a Council election this year. Should we reelect a regime in Barnet that by its own report is risking the quality of life and economic wellbieng of the Borough.

3. How can a politician claim to be a Christian, whilst implementing policies which discriminate against the poor, the disabled and the weak?

These are the questions troubling me as we start the new year. What is concerning you?
