Councillor Jack Cohen details on his excellent blog how Matthew Offord has tried to blame Councillor Andrew Harper for the problems at Aerodrome Road and the cost overruns. It seems now that it's a failure, Offord wants to wash his hands of it. It wasn't always thus - check out his website -

From what I've seen of Councillor Harper he seems like a decent bloke, trying to do his job.
How Councillor Offord can say it's not his fault when he clearly was quite happy to take the credit when it looked like a success is staggering. There's only one thing worse in a council than a ruthless careerist. That's a failed ruthless careerist !
