Those of you familiar with the world of Football will know that when a manager is in trouble, it is customary for the board to give him a "Vote of Confidence". Can I be the first to say it is high time that Mike's fellow Conservative's in Barnet really should contact the press and give him a public vote of confidence.

Isn't the silence deafening? Particularly from the members of the Cabinet Resources Committee who have been criticised for being "caught asleep on the job" over Iceland.
None of Anthony Finn, Andrew Harper, Lynne Hillan or Matthew Offord have been out to defend Mike Freer.
The only 'full' support comes from his very close, and recently promoted, chum 'Nick'
