Update : Barnet Council Outsourcing Open day : A welcome from the citizens of Barnet

Word reaches the Barnet Eye that a warm welcome is being planned by the residents of Barnet for delegates from companies interested in outsourcing services from the Council. The open day is planned for tomorrow at the council's NLBP site. Maybe a tad more worrying is the rumour that slightly more militant anti capitalist groups have also been taking an interest in the event. Given the council's track record with security, I do hope that they've taken proper precautions to ensure the safety of all delegates and any peaceful protestors who choose to turn up. One Metpro style scandal in a year is quite enough.
