Greedy Barnet Tories stick up two fingers at everyone

The leading Tory councillors in Barnet on the Council Cabinet are trying to push through 100% pay rises for themselves. Council Leader Lynne Hillan is pushing for a 57% rise in allowances from £34,909 to £54,277.  These are the same people who are trying to abolish sheltered housing wardens on cost grounds - The Barnet Bugle also covers this -

Is this excess, when school building programs are being cancelled what you voted for. It is pure greed. I urge all members of all political parties, Labour, Lib Dem and Tory to contact your local councillors and pressure them to reject this. In these trying financial times, the country should pull together and share the pain. This is two fingers up at the taxpayer from a bunch of greedy chancers. I especially urge all active Tory Party members to let their councillors know what they think. I also urge all Tory Councillors with a shred of decency to vote against this proposal.
