The Tweets of the week in the London Borough of Barnet - 2nd October 2022

Well, I'm sure you know I had a blast this week performing with The False Dots at The Dublin Castle, one of London's most iconic music venues. The good news is that they are having us back on the 23rd November. I also thoroughly enjoyed watching Barnet's oldest team win their first ever match at tier 4 of the non league pyramid on Tuesday (The mighty Hadley FC in case you were wondering).  I can thoroughly recommend watching non league football. I've made a whole bunch of new friends and the banter with opposing fans is always fun and good natured. And so, what have our local tweeters been up to? Here is our round up.

1. I don't usually pick tweets that reference back to this blog, however the @time_nw account has asked a question that fascinated me. Are you in a less well known local band that has been playing for donkeys years? Tag in a message and some pics on the timeline

2. A couple of nice local items on this thread

3. A great thread here for those of you interested in the history of East Finchley. I've never seen these before

4. We started with a few words about an iconic grassroots music venue. Here's a tweet about a grassroots music venue that we tragically lost

5. The wildlife pic of the week on this rather lovely thread!

6. Can you help a local Cricket club?

7. Nice bit of local football writing here. Good luck with the articles

8. Fancy a film, a couple of belters on here!

9. Check this out

10. A date for your diary. Two music legends for the price of one!

That's all folks!
