A Tsunami of scrounging poncers !

It is actually quite a simple problem to fix. There is a precedent. Those of us with a bit of Aussie heritage will remember what happened to Gough Whitlam's Government in Australia when they were up to no good (in the eyes of the then Governor General).

MP's take an oath of Allegiance to good old Liz.

"I, NAME, do swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, her heirs and successors, according to law. So help me God."

Well, call me old fashioned but I think she's been rather badly let down. I think she should summon the editor of the Telegraph and say. "Tell me who has been taking the P". She should then summon them and tell them "You're Fired". Don't get me wrong, I'm a republican to my core, but if we have to have a Monarch, now is the time to earn her keep. Sure, we'd have a constitutional crisis for a while. There would be debates for the next couple of hundred years, but it would be a long time before anyone took the P so royally again.

I'm sorry, but this mob have let her Maj down royally. They've also let you, me and everyone else down who pays their wages, expenses, nanny fees, second home allowances, leaking pipe under the tennis court repair, Internet porn......

My nomination for the worst of the lot? I'd go with Tory Blooger & PPC Iain Dale's suggestion - Conservative MP James Gray. He tried to claim back the cash for a wreath laid at a remembrance day parade - sick really. When it was turned down, he complained using the excuse "You paid last time". Check Iain's blog for full details. I'm not making a party political point here. Feel free to leave your own nominations as comments. If I get any examples that are worse, I'll give them a full blog.

James Gray’s claim for a wreath was disgusting, but what do you expect from a scum bag who cheated on his wife while she was being treated for breast cancer?

Not quite in the same class, but not far behind, is the Scottish Labour MP who claimed for a 5p plastic bag from IKEA.

I think many of these MPs know we are going to throw them out at the next election so they are claiming as much as they can before they end up on the dole.
