Cheers for this, Roger. The other customers endorsing MetPro on their website (see rolling endorsement thing under the rolling pics) seem to be Statons, an estate agent chain based in Hertfordshire and Barnet, and Domus London Developments based in Hertfordshire.

So that's Barnet council as customers, plus two other very local businesses. Without Barnet council (and its residents' money) would this company survive?

I'd love to know who the MD is... and who he lunches with.

Questions must be asked about the use of this company, the cost, the management of what they do, and especially what happened last night, when ordinary citizens were denied their lawful rights to attend a council meeting, despite the judgement of the presiding police inspector that it was perfectly acceptable that they should do so. I am happy to give any evidence to any enquiry on this matter, having seen what happened.

Vickim57: And how the contract is awarded, and how often the contract is put out to tender.

I have seen their van (and dog?) in the Barnet House car park very late at night (don't ask).

They DO need a security company, although one that didn't look like they were auditioning for "Springtime for Hitler and Germany" would be better.

According to companies house in their annual return submitted on 19/5/2010, the two company directors are Mr Kevin Sharkey who owns 80 shares and Mr Luigi Mansi who owns 20 shares. The most recent set of accounts for the year end 31 July 2008 suggest they have net assets of £17,797. Accounts for 2009 are overdue.

According to Companies House, there is a proposal for this company to be struck off.

Barnet does seem to have a knack of giving business to unsuitable contractors.

This security company should be seriously looked into, baring in mind to what happened last night.I noticed not one security person was displaying his S.I.A badge, this badge identifies each security officer, and must be displayed at all times whilst on duty,i did not see one...

A further look into the above, states that the S.I.A (Security industry authority)requires each security personel to display their ID badge about their person, either on the arm, or about their neck.Failure to do so is against the law and can be reported stating the company name to the Security industry authority on :
