Half a Million Hits, A million thanks

How fitting that in the month which we depose Brian Coleman, the number of hits on this blog passes the half million mark ! We passed the 400,000 mark on the 19th February. At this rate,we'll be banging against the million hits by the end of next year !

Various internet trolls have this week waged a campaign in the comments section of the local paper to try and pretend that bloggers in Barnet don't matter. Given that every single hit was the result of someone making a conscious decision to visit this website, for whatever reason, I beg to differ.

Here are the top 10 blogs, in terms of hits, for this blog. Rather interestingly, my story about Brian Coleman finally defeating me, is over four times more popular than the second most popular one.

I really have no idea why any of these blogs are particularly popular. Interestingly three of the top ten are blogs about Burnt Oak. Earlier today we saw that Burnt Oak gave Brian Coleman the least number of votes of any ward in the Borough. Clearly, Burnt Oak may not be the richest ward in the Borough of Barnet, but it has impeccable taste in blogs and GLA candidates.

Congratulations Rog on a magnificent achievement. Curiously, I pass an occasional eye on the stats for Not The Barnet Times. The last posting was over a year ago (save for the tribute to my friend Neil who died in October). I still get 1,000 hits per month. Last month was 2,500 due to people reading stories about a certain Mr B Coleman.

David,
I miss "not the barnet times". Had you continued, I have no doubt you'd have hit the half a million first (assuming you haven't ;^) ).

Thanks for the kind words. Of all the people who have supported this blog, I appreciate your support the most because it was there from day one.
