The Saturday List #21 - Pubs of Mill Hill

A subject dear to my heart.

1. The Adam and Eve, the Ridgeway (Gastropub food, nice garden, dining room upstairs)

2. The Three Hammers, the Ridgway (ordinary boozer, an Ember Inn, location for my Thursday night football drinks).

3. The Bridge Tavern, Mill Hill Broadway (High St shop pub, cheap and cheerful).

4. The Rising Sun, Highwood Hill (Small friendly pub, with gastro menu)

5. The Railway Tavern, Hale Lane (recently refurbished, good jukebox, biker friendly)

And the dead pubs (all died in last couple of years)

6. The Bell Inn,  Mill Hill Broadway (Now a Prezzo Restaurant)

7. The Angel and Crown, Bittacy Hill (Closed, rumours of a Tesco Express)

8. The Mill, Kellys Corner (being converted into a nursing home).

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is clearly worrying that in less than two years, we've lost three of the eight pubs in Mill Hill. Pubs are hubs of the community. Use it or lose it.
